At Cars Remember When, we ensure that every restoration project receives the attention it deserves. We work closely with each client to determine the best level of restoration for their vehicle, ensuring exceptional quality and value at every stage of the process. The levels of restoration we offer:

Cosmetic/Body Restoration: This level focuses on the detailed repair and enhancement of a vehicle's exterior, restoring its visual appeal while maintaining the integrity of the original design. Ideal for vehicles that need cosmetic improvements without extensive mechanical work. Time: 700 - 1000 Hours

Rotisserie Restoration: A comprehensive, full-scale restoration involves completely disassembling the vehicle and meticulously restoring every component to its original or improved condition. This thorough process ensures the car is restored to the highest standards, both mechanically and aesthetically. Time: 2,000 + hours

Disclaimer: Please note that stripping back old paint may uncover blemishes or imperfections that were previously hidden. Setting clear expectations is key, and while the restoration costs listed here provide general guidelines, the scope of work for your specific project may evolve as we uncover more details. Any additional modifications or discoveries can influence the final cost. Restoration is a careful, detailed process that cannot be rushed— while a cosmetic or body restoration may take several months, a complete rotisserie restoration could span several years.

Restoring a classic car is a detailed and multifaceted process, and several factors contribute to the overall cost. Here are the key components to consider:

Initial Condition of the Vehicle: The starting state of your vehicle plays a major role in the restoration cost. Cars with extensive rust, structural damage, or wear will require more intensive repairs, which can increase labor and material costs.

Scope of Restoration: The level of restoration you choose will directly impact the price. A cosmetic or body-only restoration will generally be less expensive than a complete rotisserie restoration, which involves disassembling the vehicle for a more thorough rebuild.

Parts and Materials: Sourcing high-quality original or reproduction parts can vary in price. Reproduction or custom-made parts often come at a premium, especially when modifications are required to fit the vehicle properly, driving up overall costs.

Labor: Restoration is a labor-intensive process that demands exceptional craftsmanship. From bodywork to paint and mechanical repairs, the time and skill required to complete each step of the process adds significantly to the cost.
