Following the October 1962 launch of the stunning new Corvette Sting Ray for 1963, Zora Arkus-Duntov and his engineers' relentless development work soon unleashed a virtually endless series of high-performance options and updates that brought the Corvette to international prominence. For 1966, the Corvette’s big-block engine displacement grew to 427 cubic inches with a factory-rated 425 HP on tap. Credentials that would make any Corvette an overnight legend.
One of 1,190 examples produced in 1966 with Code 900 Tuxedo Black paint . This restored Corvette convertible features the mighty 427/425 HP Turbo-Jet V-8 engine. Equipped with an aluminum intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor, the engine’s power is sent to the pavement via a 4-speed Muncie manual transmission. Nothing beats the sound or thrill of a big block engine with side pipe exhaust going through the gears! A dual electric fan setup has been added to keep the engine running cooler on hot days.
Complementing the Tuxedo black finish are a black convertible top and black interior. This Corvette is running great and ready for a new owner! CALL TODAY 720-465-5104
