This drop top is an extremely well preserved, excellent example of an unrestored, all-original 1970 Buick Electra 225 convertible. Complete with everything from the original big Buick 455 cubic inch V8, to a gorgeous original vinyl A/C interior. Looking at this car you will find it simply amazing that it's possible something can be this old and in such great condition. Being in the same family since new, it is cared for and loved. This is truly an immaculate vehicle that is a great representation of a fully loaded, American luxury car in 1970.
This Buick is sporting it's factory original Bamboo Cream paint in excellent condition for its age. There are some minor chips along the front of the hood from small rocks over the years, but they were touched up accordingly. Believe it or not, this convertible still has it factory-installed original canvas top in excellent condition. Almost looks the same as it did new, always being stored in the upright position to avoid getting creases. Opening the door exposes the unrestored original Burnished Saddle interior. This interior is breathtakingly comfortable and well preserved. The dash is free of any cracks and is just out right beautiful. All the gauges work flawlessly, the electric windows work great, power adjustable seat moves smoothly, and the power convertible top goes up and down with ease. One word to describe this interior is immaculate.
Under the hood lays the original Buick 455 big block with 51,849 documented miles on the clock. Smooth running and equipped with its original carburetor, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, and mated to an original TH400 automatic transmission. Equipped with cruise control, power steering, factory A/C and power brakes this car is an excellent example of fully loaded luxury in 1970.
