Check out this 1968 Camaro SS396 that has been completely restored. This is a real deal SS396 car documented with the Protec-O-Plate. The engine in the car has been rebuilt. During the rebuilding process, the engine was decked and the numbers are missing on the front of the engine block. However, the Protect-O-Plate does document the engine the car originally came with, which was the 396/325HP engine. The TH400 transmission appears to be numbers matching, there is a picture in the gallery of this stamping.
This Camaro appears to be highly optioned with a stunning red bucket seat console interior, deluxe interior, gauge package, factory A/C, and Ermine white with a black vinyl top. This car was reportedly sold new in California and does retain its original smog equipment. Other equipment includes power front disc brakes, power steering, and a TH400 automatic transmission.
