Following the October 1962 launch of the stunning new Corvette Sting Ray for 1963, Zora Arkus-Duntov and his engineers' relentless development work soon unleashed a virtually endless series of high-performance options and updates that brought the Corvette to international prominence. For 1967, the last year of the C2, the factory offered several high-horsepower engine options. This example is equipped with the legendary 427/435hp L71 Tri-Power Big Block engine. The Big Block cars were equipped with a special Sting Ray hood. This is one of 3,840 examples produced in 1967 with Code 976 Marina Blue.
