You are looking at a very rare sight; A 1966 Mercury Comet Caliente convertible equipped with rare options such as a 390 V8, 4-speed transmission, power steering, power windows and a power convertible top! This car is unrestored and is an excellent running and driving car suited for daily use, Sunday cruises, ice cream stops or car shows! It is sporting a red repaint with a great shine in excellent driver quality condition. The body is very straight and does not show any signs of rust or misuse. Lowering the convertible top down exposes the clean, comfortable, and very original interior. A nice wood grain dash and original set of gauges show some nice patina and are all functioning.
Opening hood exposes the believed to be rebuilt 390 V8 Ford engine running great and equipped with electronic ignition and a new Edelbrock carburetor. The 4 speed shifts smooth and harnesses the torque of the 390 with no problems. It drives straight down the road, stops smooth, has a tight steering wheel and is a fun convertible to drive! Overall this is a very clean, well taken care of Mercury convertible with all of the right options, features, and lines!
