1957 was the last year for the 1st generation "little bird" Thunderbird. Being the first two seat car by Ford since the 1938 model year, it created a lot of excitement at the time. This car was advertised as a personal luxury car and competed with the Corvette, although the Thunderbird was more of a niche market focusing on comfort over speed. This particular Thunderbird is rated by Hagerty valuation as "good" with a insurance payout appraisal of $51,200. Equipped with some newer parts to increase drivability, this Thunderbird drives extremely smooth and feels 100% stock like you were in 1957 again. The C3 transmission drives much smoother then the original "Ford-o-Matic" and allows for it to be driven to car shows in comfort. Equipped with factory power windows and a power seat make this car feel cutting edge for the time. The added updated parts make this car much more dependable then the original configuration. The gun metal exterior with red interior is one of the most sought after combinations of the Thunderbird, this was exactly how this car looked from the factory in 1957.
