If you are looking for a pristine, well taken care of, all original Volkswagen Beetle look no further! This Beetle is just breathtaking and is an iconic piece of history. It could be in a museum, a collector's garage or out on the street turning heads. The oval rear window is a huge styling que of the 1955 model era. The original factory Strato blue paint is just stunning and compliments how straight the 1955 body panels really are. The ragtop sunroof is just too cool on this little VW. It's a 3 fold top that slides back easily, allowing for a large roof opening. This VW had a recent engine rebuild with all VW NOS parts and it now runs as good as it looks! The previous owner was relentless in his effort to maintain all originality. The upholstery set on the seats were actually imported from Germany! Overall this VW is pristine, extremely cute and very hard to find in this condition.

History;
During this post-war period, the Beetle had superior performance in its category with a top speed of 71 mph and 0–62 mph in 27.5 seconds with fuel consumption of 36 mpg for the standard 36 hp engine. In Small Wonder, Walter Henry Nelson wrote: The engine fires up immediately without a choke. It has tolerable road-handling and is economical to maintain. Although a small car, the engine has great elasticity and gave the feeling of better output than its small nominal size.
