428ci COBRA JET CUSTOM BUILT ENGINE
The block was magnafluxed, deburred, line bored and was "0" decked. It was bored .030 with torque plates and lightweight venolia forged 10.5:1 pistons used. All oil passage mods were performed and were balanced to within 1.0 gram.
The Edelbrock heads, and rpm intake were ported and port matched with a 5 angle cut on the valves.
It has a crower #16462 roller cam with crane hydraulic roller lifters. Cam specs are; 581 intake and 583 exhaust lift with 234 intake and 244 exhaust duration @ .050.
Custom length pushrods, comp cams, roller rockers, precision oil pump, hd rocker shafts, spacer kit, center strands, stud kit, end support stands.
The crank is .020-.020, has a sealed power "black" oil pump, rebushed, shotpeened rods. ARP bolts throughout the engine.
Top it off with a MSD pro billet distributor, Edelbrock water pump, cobra lemans valve covers and a custom cobra t oil pan. Has only dyno time on the engine to break it in. Three dyno pulls with 482 horsepower at 5600 rpm, and 502ft/lbs torque at 4000 rpm with 34 degrees timing and premium unleaded fuel.
